Chester Roy Mann, 73, of Junction City, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Geary Community Hospital. Chester was born May 25, 1943 at Skiddy, the son of Alfred C. and Cora M. (Little) Mann. He attended school in White City.
He worked at Walker Stone for 18 years, where he was a powder-man, handling dynamite. He also worked many years as a driver for Bell Taxi.
Survivors include: a brother, Ralph Mann, Clay Center; 2 sisters, June Bowser, Clay Center, and Kathryn Ash, McPherson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Virginia, Junita, Mary, and Doris, and 5 brothers, Raymond, Orville, Bobby, Leland, and Arthur.
It was Chester's wish to be cremated.
No services are planned.
Penwell-Gabel Junction City Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
