Graveside services for Cheryl D. Potter, 63, of Junction City will be held at 9a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Highland Cemetery with Father Dale Plummer officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Mrs. Potter passed away on September 2, 2011. Memorial contributions have been designated to the American Diabetes Association, 10580 Barkley Ste. 400, Overland Park, KS 66212, KSU Basic Cancer Research, 1700 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502-9909.

Cheryl was born October 6, 1947, Austin, MN to Donald L. and Helen D. (Crank) Davis. She worked as an administrative assistant for 8 years with USD 475 at the Deever Administration Center, and was also employed at Wal-Mart in Junction City for 8 years. She loved to fish, crochet and play cards as well as spend time with her family.

She married James Potter, February 14, 1987, Junction City he survives of the home.

Other survivors include her son, Troy Geike, step-son, Keith Potter both of Junction City, daughters, Donita Oliveras also of Junction City and Brenda Breese of White City, KS and twelve grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kevin Davis, sister, Sandra Davis and step-son, Brian Potter.

Pallbearers will be Troy Geike, Jimmy Breese, Travis Breese, Keith Potter, Tevin Geike and Kyle Breese.
