Charles Schad

Graveside inurnment services for Charles H. "Chuck" Schad, 62, of Junction will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2006 at St. Mary's Cemetery with Father Al Brungardt officiating. He passed away October 20, 2006 at Geary Community Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Lakes Development Center, 1416 Hayes Dr. Manhattan, KS 66502 and or "Pacesetters" Special Olympics % Deb Freeman, 2183 3400Avenue, Junction City, KS 66441. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Charles was born June 3, 1944 in Junction City, KS to Henry and Mildred (Norman) Schad. He worked for the Big Lakes Development Center as a janitor for 33 years. He participated in Special Olympics for many years and competed internationally. He was a life time resident of the Junction City area and a member of St. Xavier's Catholic Church.

He is survived by a brother Jerry and sister-in-law Pat. A sister Mary Lou Brown, and 17 nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Joe.
