Charles L. Cimino

A Mass of Christian Burial for SFC (ret) Charles L. Cimino, 70, Junction City, KS will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2006 at St. Xavier's Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt

officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Mr. Cimino passed away August 28, 2006 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2006 at St. Xavier's Catholic Church, 218 North Washington from 6-8 p.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to St,. Xavier's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 399, Junction City, KS 66441.



Mr. Cimino was born on April 4, 1936 to Santo and Carmella Cimino. He joined the U S Army, served in Vietnam, and medically retired as a Sergeant First Class following 18 years of service. He has been a resident of Junction City since 1964, owning and operating several area restaurants, most recently The Harvest Inn Restaurant.



He married Bernadette Womack on April 12, 1958 and had five children.



Survivors include his wife, Bernadette, and children Randy and Chris Cimino of Mountain Home, AR; Deborah Chaudary of Junction City, KS; Michael Cimino of Topeka, KS; Charles and Meredith Cimino of Kansas City, MO; and Therese Cimino of Junction City, KS. He had eight grandchildren, Rebecca and Matthew Cimino and Elizabeth Bockstahler, Charles Chaudary, Kyle and Carolanne Cimino, and Jacob and Regan Cimino. He had one great grandchild, Laura Bockstahler.



He was preceded in death by his parents Santo Cimino and Carmella Earussi, and by his sister Phyllis Pullella and brother Joseph Cimino.



Pallbearers for the service will be Randy Cimino, Michael Cimino, Charles Cimino, Jeff Ohmes,

Larry Ohmes, and Doug Ehlebracht. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Chaudary, Matt Horney, George Ziegenhirt, and Robert Ohmes.



In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Xavier's Church, 200 N. Washington, Junction City, KS.





Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
