A Mass of Christian Burial for Channyo "Susie" Kim Smith, 66, of Junction City, KS will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday June 19, 2009 at Saint Xaviers Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Visitation will be today at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington from 6 - 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Channyo passed away at her home on Tuesday June 16, 2009. Memorial contributions may be given to the Saint Xaviers Catholic Church P.O. Box 399 Junction City, KS 66441. .
Channyo was born July 8, 1942 in North Korea to Kindong & Seoun (Oh) Kim. She owned and operated several restaurants and taverns in the Junction City area. She was a member of the Saint Xavier Catholic Church.
Channyo is survived by several nieces and nephews.
