Cathern Laholt

A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel for Cathern Y. LaHolt, 87, Junction City, Kansas. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. LaHolt passed away Friday, March 30, 2007, at her home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday one half hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Geary Community Hospital c/o Geary Community Health Care Foundation P.O. Box 3015 Junction City, Kansas 66441.



Cathern was born February 11, 1920, in rural Geary County the daughter of Edward and Margaret McCormick York.



Mrs. LaHolt worked in the Payroll Department at Fort Riley for many years. She was a member of St. Xavier's Catholic Church.



She married Jack LaHolt. He passed away in 1965.



Survivors include one son, Ron LaHolt of Lincoln, Nebraska and two daughters, Margaret Eubank and Kay Lancaster both of Junction City, Kansas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.



She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
