Memorial Services for Carrie Evelyn Anderson , 81, Junction City, KS will be Tuesday,April 23, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Reverend Dr. Bert Buurman will officiate. Evelyn died April 19, 2002 at an area Hospital.Visitation will be Monday, April 22, 2002, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel.Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Geary Community Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 3015, Junction City, Kansas and/or First United Methodist Church,804 N. Jefferson, Junction City, Kansas 66441. Evelyn was born July 1, 1920, at Little Rock, Arkansas to James R. and Mattie C. (Thompson) Fisher Evelyn graduated from high school in Platte City, Missouri. After that, she attended business college in California. Evelyn married L.B. Anderson December 8, 1936 in Leavenworth, Kansas. He preceded
her in death February 19, 1998. She lived in St. Joseph, Mo and Marysville, KS after her husband returned from WWII. They came to Junction City in 1949. As a homemaker, Carrie volunteered in girl scouts,boy scouts, and school activities. Later, she was a bookkeeper for McRae's TV, Builders'
Lumber, and Shop 'N Save Furniture.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Geary Community Hospital Auxiliary, and the singing Troubadors. She served many years on local election boards. She enjoyed volunteering to help others, playing cards with her friends in various social
groups, and reading. She is survived by Four Sons and their wives: Dr. Wade and Pat Anderson of Junction City, KS, Ronald and Marcie Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, Chris and Sandra Anderson of Arkansas City, KS, and Dr. Curtis and Debbie Anderson of Lawrence, KS; Three Daughters and their husbands: Dr. Mary and Gary Devin and Pam and Bob Wilson all of Junction City, KS, and Barbara and Tom Tillman of Troy, IL; One Brother: Gordon E.Fisher of Charleston, SC; and One Sister: Mary Dudley of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one grandson, and one great-grandson.
