No memorial services are planned for Carol Frances Haynes, 79, who passed away on October 16, 2021, at Valley Senior Life Center. Cremation has taken place.
Carol was born in Chanute, Kansas, the daughter of Ruth and Byrle Haynes.
She attended Chanute schools, Alcott Elementary, Royster Jr. High, and Chanute High School.
She moved to California, where she served as office manager for a salvage company, then spent many years as office manager for EMPO International, a shoe import company in Santa Maria, California before retiring.
Carol moved to Junction City, Kansas, to be near family in March of 2020.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lois and Margaret, her long time companion Roger Selken, and her furry friend Uno.
Survivors are brothers Ron Haynes (Donna) and Don Haynes (Helen), a sister Emma Haynes Manion (Vernon), all of Junction City, Kansas, nieces and nephews, and her beloved furry friend Binkie.
Carol enjoyed photography and time with Binkie and Uno. Carol and Roger were active members of the Santa Maria, California Lions Club, serving in many capacities.
