Carmencita Analupa Kiser

Carmencita (Carmen) Oarmata Analupa, age 70, longtime resident of Junction City, Kansas, passed away in her home surrounded by her family who cherished her on the evening of Tuesday, March 24th, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.
Carmen was born on May 5th, 1949 in Buhi, Camarines Sur, Bicol Providence, Philippines. she was raised by her grandmother and grandfather Maximo Analupa.
Carmen finished high school and was in her first year of college when she met the love of her life, her 'Darling', Charles (Chuck) Kiser, while he was visiting the Philippines on R&R from serving in Vietnam. It was love at first sight for Chuck when he saw her waving at him from a coffee shop window, which, she claims she was merely cleaning the window because she worked there. Nonetheless, the coffee shop was his new favorite hangout which eventually led to a chaperoned courtship, letters from Vietnam, then a proposal. Chuck and Carmen were married on July 19, 1970 at the Ermita Church in Manila, Philippines. And the legacy began.
Chuck brought Carmen back to the United States and she grew into the most outstanding wife, mother, friend, sister, neighbor that anyone could ask for. They continued to travel to different duty stations, had three children, and eventually settled in Junction City, Kansas in 1985. For many years, Carmen had a home daycare that kept her yard full of Little Tike toys, her arms full of babies, and their faces full of red lipstick printed kiss marks. She loved every child who came into her home including each of the friends her children brought home.
Carmen's biggest priority was serving and loving Jesus. She attended the Catholic church on Fort Riley, as well as, St. Xavier's. She would serve in any capacity she could; reading, singing, decorating, teaching, organizing the rosaries, and even consoling crying babies. "Put God first because He is so good, and everything else will fall into place." was what anyone would hear if she had your attention long enough. The first-time Carmen battled breast cancer in 2004, she remembered a distinct moment of God answering her prayer of healing her pain from chemotherapy side effects, "Jesus Have Mercy On Me," was her favorite prayer and from then on, she never went a day without praising Him.
Carmen was heavily involved with our local Filipino-American organizations. She enjoyed sharing her culture dances, celebrations for all reasons, and food for anyone that came into her home. Carmen never wanted anyone to go hungry, even if they 'said' were full. She was always so welcoming to all new Filipino families and wanted to be sure they got adjusted and plugged in to the community.
Carmen was also involved in the Lion's Club, Catholic Women of the Chapel, Troubadours, Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed going on drives with her husband, color coordinating their outfits, long phone calls with friends and family, laughing at Filipino parties, singing to her flowers as she watered them, watching EWTN, cooking for anyone and everyone, the color red (especially in lipstick), decorating her home, finding the best deals at any store, taking care of her children, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Carmen is survived by her loving spouse, Chuck Kiser of Junction City; her three grateful children and their spouses: Chuckie and Jessica of Junction City, Chris and Imee of Midenhal, England, Carmelinda and Will (Cornell) of Rock Springs, Wyoming; her five grandchildren whom she lit up her face: Chuckie (IV) and Isabel Kiser, Chris (Jr) Kiser, Olyvia and Judson Cornell, and Sisters in Italy, Switzerland, Philippines, many cousins, and all the friends she considered to be her family.
Carmen preceded in death, her parents and grandparents.
It is with great sorrow and disappointment in our current environment surrounding the COVID-19, that only a private family mass will be celebrated at St. Xavier's Catholic Church, followed by a Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. We do plan to record them on Facebook Live so you can join us virtually. The family does plan to have a Celebration of Life for Carmen at a later date.
Carmen felt and knew all the love, support, and prayers she received from people all over the world. She was so grateful and so is her family. We thank you with all of our Heart.
