Memorial services for SFC (Ret)Carlton James Bullock, 54, of Junction City, KS will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2009 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Fort Riley, with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Road, Junction City, KS 66441.
Mr. Bullock was born October 22, 1954, Long Branch, NJ to John and Estelle (Richardson) Bullock. He served in the U.S. Army from October of 1973 until August of 1988 when he was medically retired due to illness. While serving in the Army he received the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Marksman (M-16A1 Rifle) Sharpshooter (Hand Grenade) and the Army Commendation Medal.
He married Juliet Alloway September 26, 1977 Waco, TX she survives of the home, other survivors include two sons, Brian and wife Christi Bullock of Junction City, KS, Anthony and wife Keri Alloway of Kansas City, KS, four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Skylar, T' Essence and Anthony Alloway all of Kansas City, KS, and three step-brothers, Theodore Dunn, Phillip Dunn and Eddie Dunn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Dunn and step-father, Theodore Dunn, Sr.
