CARLA NWOGA
Carla Nwoga, 47, of Junction City, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka. Carla was born December 24, 1966 in Camden, New Jersey, the daughter of Carlton and Marva (McCloud) Young. Carla graduated from Highland High School, Blackwood, New Jersey, and later from Manhattan Christian College, Manhattan, Kansas. She was an ordained minister, homemaker and aerobic fitness instructor in Junction City. Carla was a woman of strong faith and gave back to the community by volunteering at senior centers.
Carla is survived by her husband Paul; a son, Samuel; a daughter, Julia, both of Junction City; a brother, Carlton Young, Jr., Texas; a sister, Latira Kilby, Camden, New Jersey; her mother, Marva Weeks, Camden, New Jersey; and her father, Carlton Young, Sicklerville, New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 P.M. (E.S.T.), Thursday, July 3, 2014 at New Beginnings Church in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
Funeral services will also be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at Morris Hill Gospel Chapel at Ft. Riley. Burial will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Manhattan.
