A visitation for Carl W. Trick, 74, Junction City, will be 6 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel. A private family inurnment with full military honors will take place at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Trick passed away Friday, August 12, 2011, at the St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Ks. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Trick was born March 17, 1937, the son of Carl W. and Hanna (Gesell) Trick.
Mr. Trick retired from the United States Army in 1974. He later worked as a car salesman for Coat's Chevrolet and owned and operated Ma's Tavern, Nu Design Decorating Center. He also worked as general contractor and delivered auto parts for Napa Auto Parts. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion, Elk's, and Shriners organizations.
He married Magdalena Hippler January 25, 1961, in Miami, Ok. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include one son, Carl W. (Cathy) Trick of Jacksonville, Fl. and two daughters, Jacky L. (Randy) Robinson and Ursula B. Ondrashek both of Junction City, Ks. and one brother, Robert Trick of Young America, MN. and one sister, Sharon Strecker of San Francisco, Ca. He is survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one daughter.
