Calvin Sitton
September 21, 1925 — December 3, 2011
Calvin D. "Dean" Sitton, 86, of Junction City, passed away December 3, 2011 at Geary Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington. Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate. Cremation has taken place and no visitation is planned. Memorial contributions may be given to the Disabled American Veterans, VA Hospital-Bldg #24, RM 106G, 2200 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, KS 66622.
Mr. Sitton was born September 21, 1925, Mounds, IL to Earl and Beniva Sitton. He retired from the U.S. Navy and then worked for Civil Service at Irwin Army Hospital as a Baker retiring from there as well. He also worked at the Junction City Country Club at the Pro Shop. He attended First Christian Church and he enjoyed golfing at Rolling Meadows.
He married Priscilla Sanchez December 1, 1949 she survives of the home.
Other survivors include his son, Michael Sitton of Manhattan, KS, granddaughter, Christina Swisher and her husband Craig and great-granddaughter, Chyla all of Junction City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
