Bruna S. Hurst

Bruna S. Hurst, 78, of Junction City, KS passed away at Valley View Senior Life Center on August 28, 2013. Cremation has taken place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Manhattan, KS. Memorials have been designated to the Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441 and to the Alzheimer's Association, 4125 SW Gage Center Dr., Ste. LL-15, Topeka, KS 66601.

Bruna was born September 11, 1934, Trieste, Italy to Giovanni and Elvira (Sanzin) Polizi. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church.

She married Jesse E. "Buddy" Hurst April 11, 1954 he preceded her in death October 1, 2012.

Bruna is survived by four sons; Jesse E. Hurst, III (Kim) of Cottage Hills, IL, Ronald E. Hurst (Suk) of Tacoma, WA, Rusty Hurst of Junction City, KS and James E. Hurst (Kelly) of Dwight, KS, she is also survived by one daughter, Rita Hurst of Manhattan, KS, one sister Rosie Cornell of Bloomington, MN, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother Silvano Sanzin and grandson, Eric Hurst.
