A memorial service for Bruce Lee Guiot, 52, of Abilene, KS, will be 10 a.m Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate. Mr. Guiot has been cremated and his cremated remains will be buried following the memorial service at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Bruce died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at his home in Abilene. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association, 2024 N. Woodlawn, STE 114, Wichita, Ks. 67208.

Bruce was born September 6, 1959, in Junction City the son of Leland D. and Phyllis (Vollan) Guiot.

Bruce worked many years as a truck driver for a distributing company. He later worked for Footlocker in Junction City. At the time of his death, he worked as a fork lift operator for Alco in Abilene.

Bruce loved yard work and he enjoyed remodeling his home and had remodeled his previous homes over the years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and a huge fan of Nascar Racing, his favorite driver being Jimmie Johnson #48.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Abilene.

Survivors include his father, Leland "Lefty" Guiot of Junction City. He is also survived by one sister, Gina Guiot of Wichita and two daughters, Lacey and Amber Guiot both of Junction City.

He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Guiot.
