Funeral services for Brent Williams, 29, formerly of Junction City, KS will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue, Junction City, KS with Reverend Ken Trickle officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 24, 2010, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Brent passed away at his residence in Rogers, AR on January 19, 2010. Memorial contributions may be given to the music department at Junction City High School and be sent or left at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel.
Brent was born September 5, 1980 Junction City, KS to Charles R. and Janet (Durham) Williams. He graduated from Junction City High School class of 1999.
He graduated from Kansas State University Salina Campus May of 2006. He had earned three Associate Degrees and two Bachelor's Degrees. He became employed with Walmart Home Office June 26, 2006 and was currently employed with them in Bentonville, AR as a computer programmer.
While in High School he was 1st chair playing the French horn, he had a love for music and playing instruments, self teaching the piano, trumpet, clarinet and the saxophone. He loved to sing and was a member of the Walmart Choir, he enjoyed spending time with his many friends, knitting and crocheting and loved to have fun, he loved to remind everyone that "It's All About Me" and then he would smile.
He is survived by his mom; Jan Williams of Junction City, KS, his father; Charlie Williams and his wife Diane of Evans, GA, his sister; Kelly L. Ruark and her husband Jeff and his nephew, Nathan C. Williams of Junction City, KS, his maternal grandmother; Jonetta Rector and her husband Clifford of Chapman, KS and his best friend Kelly Clevenger and her husband Jimmy of Bella Vista, AR.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, J.B. Durham and his paternal grandparents, Charlie O. and Bertha Williams.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Clevenger, Ray Brown, Robert Bender, Michael Brown, Jim Brooks and Maurice Lafears.
