Brenda Goosey

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church for Brenda Whitley Goosey, 60, Mission, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. Pastor Matt Christensen will officiate. Mrs. Goosey passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007, in Cairo, Missouri. A visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street Junction City. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association c/o the funeral home.



Brenda was born October 10, 1946, in Dumas, Arkansas, the daughter of R.V. Ellis and Irma Harrison. Brenda was a homemaker.



Brenda married Paul Whitley and he passed away in 1992. She later married Richard W. Goosey August 30, 1996. He survives.



Survivors include her mother Irma Harrison of Springfield, Missouri and her husband Richard W. Goosey of Mission, Texas. She is survived by two sons, David Paul Whitley of Charlotte, North Carolina and Ricky Wayne Goosey of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. She is survived by five daughters, Angela Waldrop of Junction City, Kansas; Desiree Allran of Tampa, Florida; Rose Tarpenning of California, Missouri; Robin Wenner of Riverside, California and Rita Pearman of Cairo, Missouri. She is also survived by one brother Dewayne Ellis of St.James, Missouri and two sisters, Davene Willhite of Mission, Texas and Trudy Copeland of Springfield, Missouri. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
