Brandon Michael Stroda, 39, of Junction City, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on May 2, 2017. Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2017, from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. at the First Presbyterian Church, a Candlelight Vigil Service will follow immediately after the visitation at Heritage Park. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Sue Trei-Conrad officiating. Private family burial will follow the services. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be designated to The Brandon M. Stroda Revocable Trust for the Braedon and Braxton Stroda Scholarship Fund and to The Team Stroda Foundation for inspiring individuals and community enhancement. He was born on June 7, 1977, Salina, Kansas to Robert "Bob" Stroda and Terry (Riekeman). Brandon graduated from Chapman High School class of 1995 and then graduated from Kansas State University in 1999, in 2011 he received his Bachelor's in Aviation Maintenance from Kansas State University.
On July 2, 2005 he married Terrah Pendarvis, they made their home in Junction City, KS, they had two sons, Braedon Timothy and Braxton Michael.
Being a father to Braedon and Braxton was Brandon's biggest passion, he enjoyed coaching youth sports, singing in the Church Choir and performing with the Junction City Little Theatre at the CL Hoover Opera House. Brandon also enjoyed boating with his family and friends at Milford Lake. Brandon will always be remembered for his "never quit" attitude, his compassion, strength and his contagious smile.
Brandon is survived by his wife Terrah, his sons, Braedon and Braxton Stroda all of Junction City, KS; his mother, Terry (Steve) Miller of Chapman, KS; his father, Bob Stroda of Chapman, KS; his sisters, Shannon (Dan) Demory of Platte City, MO, Lindy Stroda of Kansas City, MO, Hillary (Matt) Erickson of El Dorado Hills, CA and Amy Miller of Chapman, KS; his brothers, Matt (Bethanie) Krinhop of Fort Smith, MT and Luke (Molly) Miller of Kansas City, MO. Brandon is also survived by his grandparents, Dwayne and Nadine Riekeman, Clarence Stroda and Bill Miller.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Stroda and his mother-in-law, Vaudene Field.
