Bobby Eugene Williams, 82, of White City, Kansas, passed away on April 18, 2019 at Geary Community Hospital. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., June 12, 2019 at the Parkerville Baptist Church, Parkerville. Burial of ashes to follow at the White City Cemetery.
He was born on October 12, 1936, Shelbyville, Tennessee to Jack and Rose Mae (Smith) Williams.
In November of 1956 Bobby joined the US Air Force in Nashville, TN. Over his military career he served in Vietnam and SE Asia. After leaving the Air Force, in December of 1976, he worked as a custodian for the White City Schools, from 1977-1989. Bobby also did custodial work for the Rolling Prairie Senior Center from 1991-1999.
Bobby was a member of White City United Methodist Church and local VFW. He was a coin collector, history buff and enjoyed photography.
Bobby is survived by his companion, Sally Spooner of White City, KS; Two Sons, Bobbye E. Williams of Shelbyville, TN, Michael D. (Dena) Williams of Council Grove, KS; Daughter, Tina M. Saunders of Junction City, KS; Step-Son, Patrick Spooner of Tutwiler, MS; Step-Daughter, Dawn (Johnny) Laizure of Raytown, MO; Step-Brother, Tommy Ray Mooningham; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Williams, mother, Rose Mae Statum, wife, Kathryn T. Williams, and sister, Betty Williams.
