Bobby Ray Cunningham

Funeral services for Bobby Ray Cunningham, 44, Memphis, TN, (formerly of Junction City) will be Friday, January 13, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at the Second Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Audrey Toombs officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Mr. Cunningham passed away on January 5, 2006, Memphis, TN.

Mr. Cunningham was born August 19, 1961, Junction City, KS to Willie D. and Lorine Cunningham. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1979. A talented athlete, Bobby set many school records in both track and basketball. After completion of high school, he was awarded a basketball scholarship and attended Hutchinson State College for two years, 1980-1982.

In 1987, he was united in marriage to Ms. Teresa Bell of Memphis, TN. He moved to Memphis, TN later that same year where he was employed with the Pepsi-Cola Company for the past 17 years. Those who knew Bobby, knew that he was a very caring and loving person.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa of Memphis, TN, one daughter, Devin Cunningham Cook of Fort Riley, KS, one son DeMarcus Cunningham of Memphis, TN, his parents, Willie D. and Lorine Cunningham of Junction City, KS, four brothers, Willie D. Cunningham, Jr. of Dodge City, KS, Larry W. Cunningham of Weir, MS, Jerry Cunningham of Fort Worth, TX and Dwight Cunningham of Topeka, KS, two sisters, Joann Cunningham of Montgomery, AL , Jackie Cunningham Smith of Fort Worth, TX, nine nephews, four nieces and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, LCP Glenn Cunningham, U.S. Marine Corps Jan. 1, 1990.

Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Ronnie Jones, Ira Reid, Donald P. Wells, Jeffery Davis and Cal Cunningham.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Willie D. Cunningham, Jr., Larry Wayne Cunningham, Jerry Cunningham, Dwight Cunningham, Joann Cunningham and Jackie Cunningham Smith.
