Bobbie Marie Moore

November 22, 1975 — June 9, 2017

Bobbie Jo Marie (Burton) Moore, 41, left her home to join the angels on June 9, 2017 following a brave battle with cancer.

She was born on November 22, 1975 in Sarasota, Florida. She attended Middle School and High School in Junction City, KS and Flint Hills Job Corps in Manhattan, Kansas. Bobbie Jo married Robert A. Moore on July 4, 1998, in Walla, Walla, WA. She gave birth to her first and only child Raven Marie Moore, the light of her life, in August of 1999.

Bobbie Jo was a friend to all she met and collected lost people to help them find their way. She never met a stranger. She was a one of a kind person that always walked to her own tune in life. She enjoyed time spent with friends and family, writing poetry, music, movies, and she was an animal lover.

Bobbie Jo is survived by her husband Robert A. Moore of Alta Vista; her daughter Raven M. Moore of Alta Vista; her parents Clarence "Chuck" and Teresa K. Mahieu of Junction City; and her sister Billie Jo A. (Derek) Hobling of Manhattan. She also leaves behind her maternal grandmother Joan (Henry) Brackney of Chapman; Uncle James Burton and two cousins of Herington; Uncle Randy (Marje) Burton and four cousins of McPherson; Aunt Tammy Welsh and three cousins of Junction City; mother-in-law Wilma (George) Koll in Washington State; and many, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends spread throughout the United States.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Nancy L. and Henry Mahieu, maternal great grandparents Zackie and Katherine May, great aunt Georgia May, cousin Jeff May, father-in-law Robert Terry Moore and grandfather-in-law David Nelson Spurlock.

Bobbie Jo was cremated at her request. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 804 N Jefferson St, Junction City, KS 66441

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be sent to the Bobbie Jo Moore Cremation Fund on gofundme.com or to Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 805 Carolina Ave., Junction City, KS 66441, in Bobbie Jo's name, to help with expenses (please make any checks payable to the family). Any extra funds above service cost will be dedicated to the Raven Moore Educational Fund.
