Blanche M. Stiffler, 89, of Junction City, passed away on January 7, 2015 at Geary Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street with Pastor James Callaway officiating, burial will follow at Riley Cemetery, Riley, KS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions have been designated to Cancer Research Fund, KSU Foundation, P.O. Box 9200, Shawnee Mission, KS 66201-1800.
Blanche was born on November 28, 1925, Junction City, Kansas to Albert A. and Ellen M. (Parrick) Kemph.
She worked for Junction City Telephone Company, Anderson Studio and Junction City Bottling Company where she was a line inspector and retired from there as Office Manager after 23 years. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, reading but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Blanche is survived by her loving Daughter, Debbie (Orin) Auld of Junction City, KS; Son, Lenny (Carol) Hines of Shawnee, KS; Four Grandchildren, Rhiannon (Drew) Wilkins of Bossier City, LA; Sarah (Derrick) King of Fort Meade, MD; Robin (Ben) Giefer of Leawood, KS; Lance Hines of Shawnee, KS; Four Great-Grandchildren; Walker King, Katlyn Giefer and twin sisters, Andie and Abbie Giefer; one brother, Charles Kemph of Bend, OR and one sister, Leona "Dolly" LaFlamme of Selma, OR; sister-in-law, Jean Kemph of Carson, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
