Billy Howard Carter, 83, of Junction City, KS, passed away on December 21, 2020. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City, KS, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
Billy was born on July 14, 1937, in Walnut Grove, Missouri to Howard and Viva Carter. He grew up in the Rosalia, Kansas and graduated top in his class of 1955.
He later moved to Junction City, Kansas, where he worked as a superintendent in waste management for several years, then went to work for Central National Bank until he retired.
Billy was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Billy is survived by his loving family: William Howard Carter of Pineville, MO, Ellen C. (Carter) Livermore of Omaha, NE, Brett A. Carter of Junction City, KS, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Howard J. Carter.
