Beverly Velma Reichenberger, 88, of Junction City, KS, formerly of McMinnville, OR, passed away on November 12, 2020. The Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, 3pm, November 15, 2020, at the Junction City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mark Hatcher officiating.
Beverly was born on August 17, 1932, in Shell Rock, Iowa, to Clark and Eva (Walter) Avery. She attended school at the Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada, graduating in the class of 1950. After graduation she returned to the Prairie Bible Institute and completed one year of college.
Beverly married Alvin Reichenberger on June 8, 1956 in Vancouver, WA. Of their union, they had three children; Douglas, Karen, and Greg. Beverly and Alvin later separated. She later married Don Shobe in 1986 in Bolivar, Missouri. Don passed away on August 2, 1993.
Beverly's hobbies were stamping, genealogy, and refurbishing furniture. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the LaFayette Community Church in LaFayette, Oregon. Beverly was known for her outgoing personality, sense of humor, and caring nature. She was a loving mother, adoring grandmother and great-grandmother, and loyal friend.
Beverly is survived by her family: her two sons, Douglas (Kathy) Reichenberger of Hamilton, OH, and Greg (Nancy) Reichenberger of Yakima, WA; her daughter, Karen (Michael) Morris of Junction City, KS; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her former husband, and her siblings Lela Akerley, Lavone Linnman, Donald Avery, Russell Avery, and Myrl Avery.
