Betty (Moreland) Eller
Betty was born August 16, 1931 in Sharon Springs, KS to Roy Moreland and Thelma (Husted) Moreland. Her parents left Western Kansas in the early 40's and relocated in Junction City, KS where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1949. She married Ramon Eller on September 20, 1953 at First Christian Church, and together they raised three sons. She was a loving, devoted mother and she lived her life with a love of serving others. Her family was always at the top of her list. Whether serving as a Sunday school teacher, Cub Scout leader, referee, umpire, mother or wife she was an angel to all her family and friends. She loved traveling to visit her children and grandchildren as well as hosting countless family gatherings. She was an avid bird watcher and greatly enjoyed Junction City High School alumni gatherings. After a brief illness, Betty passed away on August 4th, 2014. She will be missed as much as she was loved.
She is survived by her husband Ramon Eller; son David, daughter-in-law, Jennifer, grandson, Jerod & Julianna Eller; son Daniel, daughter-in-law, Teresa, grandchildren Abe & Sarah Eller, Sarah and Tim Kennedy, David & Priscilla Payne, Holly & Carlos Lainez, Nick & Jamie Payne; son Timothy, daughter-in-law Alice Eller. Betty also has 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Thelma Moreland, brothers Floyd and Marvin Moreland; grandson, Kyle Gabriel Eller.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10:30am at the First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Rd., Junction City, KS 66441, with a graveside service to follow at Highland Cemetery, 703 W. Ash, Junction City, KS 66441.
