Bessie "Betsy" L. Karmann, 74, of Junction City, passed away on July 5, 2016.

Betsy was born on August 28, 1941 in Junction City, Kansas to Lester and Anna Hartman.

She married Jerry Karmann on September 3, 1958 at the First Baptist Church of Junction City.

Betsy loved her family above all. Her life centered around raising her children, Jeff, Tracie and Michael and she received great enjoyment from spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a longtime Dillons employee where she enjoyed working and assisting the public. She retired from Dillons in 2002. Additionally, she also worked as a Teller at Central National Bank. After retiring, she assisted Jerry with running the family business "Jerry's Electric".

Betsy is survived by her loving family: her husband Jerry Karmann of the home, her daughter Tracie Karmann, her son Michael and wife Twila Karmann, grandson Jacob and wife Leslie Schmutz and their son Noah, granddaughter Samantha Karmann all of Junction City. Granddaughter Ashley and husband Patrick Snider and their children Madelyn Renner and Tyler Snider of Ft. Riley. Two brothers Gary "Butch" and wife Barbara Hartman of Henderson, NV, and Ronnie Nitsch of Denver, CO.

She was preceded in death by her mother Anna Hartman, father Lester Hartman, son Jeffrey Karmann, brother Larry Nitsch, and sister Gloria Ann Nitsch.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service on 805 Caroline Ave. in Junction City, KS.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis MO 63110, the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312 or a charity of your choice.
