Bernice P. Dundon, 90, of Milford, passed away on April 7, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Bernice was born October 19, 1926 in Ft. Riley, the daughter of Victor and Beatrice (Bryant) Prawdzik. Bernice grew up in Junction City and attended Junction City schools and graduated at Junction City High School. She was a homemaker and worked for a period of time at The Apothecary Shop in Junction City. She was a member of the Home Literary Guild, the Eagles Auxiliary and the Elks Auxiliary. She enjoyed being a homemaker and living on the family farm. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the casino and playing bingo. She was a lifelong fan of sports, especially Royals baseball and golf.

She was united in marriage to Dan W. Dundon, Sr. on February 24, 1947 in Long Branch, New Jersey, where Dan was serving in the US Army. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan and an infant daughter; Victoria Ann. Survivors include Dan Jr. of Kansas City, KS, David E. and Trish of Milford and Jaye Otte and Chuck of Junction City. She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

It was Bernice's request to be cremated. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Penwell-Gabel Junction City Funeral Chapel in Junction City. A private family service will be held later. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan for all their loving care and dedication. The family requests no flowers and suggests that memorial contributions may be made instead to the Good Shepherd Hospice House at 3801 Vanesta Dr., Manhattan, KS 66503.
