Bernice A. Dettloff

Graveside services for Bernice Aileen Dettloff, 81, of Milford, KS will be Saturday, June 11, 2005, 2 p.m. Milford cemetery with Pastor Bryan Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2005, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Mrs. Dettloff passed away June 8, 2005 at Geary Community Hospital.

Mrs. Dettloff was born August 16, 1923, Detroit, MI to Robert Wilfred and Mary Elizabeth Angela (Dietrichs) DeLorme. She worked as a sales assistant for J.L. Hudson Company for 20 years retiring in 1988. She had been a resident of Milford since 1997 and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Junction City. Mrs. Dettloff enjoyed bowling, crocheting, crafts and traveling.

She married George J. Dettloff on July 21, 1941 at Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2001.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Dettloff of Grapevine, TX, one daughter, Sandra and Kenneth Schortmann of Milford, KS, one brother, Robert W. DeLorme and wife Margaret of Fraser, MI, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mae Angela Rowan.

Pallbearers will be Tim Hedges, Dain Yale, Robb Jenkins, Carl Seelye and Michael Karpew.
