September 18, 1945 — December 11, 2019

Bernard Shaw , 74, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Valley View Senior Life Center. A graveside with military honors will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Elder Artemus Lewis will officiate. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2019, from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at the Johnson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to Valley View Senior Life.

Bernard was born September 18, 1945, in Montgomery, Al, the son of Major and Gertrude (Shaw) Craig, Sr.

Bernard graduated from Junction City High School and attended Kansas State University. He served in the United States Army.

Survivors include one son, Sharpoor Shaw of Lawrence, KS one brother, Major Craig, Jr; six sisters, Novella Lewis Patricia McDonald, Barbara Jean Robinson, Gloria Reynolds all of Junction City, Harriett Ann Reed of Silver Spring, MD, and Margie Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD; ex-wife and close friend Angela Shaw of Minneapolis, MN; four grandchildren, Carlotta Shaw, Elijah Jewett, Averie Paine-Shaw and Preston Paine and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Nelson Shaw.
