Bernard E. (Snookie) Schroeder, 79, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on October 4, 2024, at Chapman Valley Manor.
He was born on June 27, 1945, to Nicholas and Burnice (Freeman) Schroeder in Dallas, Texas.
Bernard grew up and attended school in Junction City, Kansas. He attended auto transmission repair school in Dallas, Texas. He was a good mechanic, learning most of his skills from his father. He held various jobs throughout his adulthood, some to include working for Davey Tree Company and later becoming a supervisor for the company. This allowed him to travel all throughout Kansas.
He is survived by his son Chris (Staci) Schroeder of Junction City, Kansas; one sister, Peggy (Bud) Stupka of Colby, Kansas; two nieces, Lisa Olson of Atwood, Kansas and Denise Stupka of Colby, Kansas; two great-nephews, Taylor (Christy) Olson of Waynesville, Missouri and their children, Carter and Cohen, and Arie Olson of Kansas City, Missouri; one great-niece, Diahonia Olson of Atwood, Kansas.
He is preceded by his parents.
A private family graveside service will be held.
