Bear N. Gooch, 45, of Milford, KS, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation will take place. No memorial service is planned.
Bear was born July 6, 1977, in Olean, NY the son of Floyd E. and Linda S. (Anders) Vanderwege.
Bear was the owner and operator of Bear's Den Buy Sell and Trade in Junction City, KS.
On August 6, 2016, he married Dr. Mary Katherine Gooch at the First Presbyterian Church in Junction City, KS.
Survivors include his wife Dr. Mary Katherine Gooch of Milford, KS; one son, Jamie Winsor of AK; his mother, Linda S. Vanderwege of Junction City, KS; one brother, David Vanderwege of Junction City, KS; two sisters, Christina Marie Camp of Navarro Beach, FL and Kandi Torres of FL; grandmother, Ruth Lawrence of Franklinville, NY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd E. Vanderwege; one brother, Danny Michael Chapin.
