Barbara Shockey

A funeral service for Barbara Arlene Shockey, 66, will be 2 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2007, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, KS. Interment will follow the at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will take place 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 618 S. Kansas Avenue, Ste. B, Topeka, KS 66603.

Barbara was born June 6, 1940, in Salina, Kansas the daughter of Lee and Cleo Mae (Baught) Shockey.

She worked for L and M Wheel Alignment as a bookkeeper and receptionist with her business partner Harlan Lofthus, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter Maria Kaszanics of Manhattan, Kansas. She is also survived by one brother Bob Nitsch of Yates Center, Kansas and three sisters, Lee Dachenhausen, Chapman, KS, Sue Marshall, Junction City, KS and Patricia Pearcy of Orlando, Fl, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step father.
