Barbara Marie Weatherspoon, 90, Junction City, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at Valley View Senior Life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Mar. 2, 2015 at St. Xavier Catholic Church, with Fr. Kerry Ninemire presiding. Burial will be 1:00 p.m.(Mountain Standard Time), Tues., Mar. 3, 2015 at Pershing Cemetery, Limon, Colorado.
Barbara was born May 5, 1924 at Collyer, KS, the daughter of Gottlieb and Eva (Keller) Heinrich.
She was united in marriage to Claude Williams in Goodland, KS, and 3 children were born to this union; Albert, Cecil, and Julia. They later moved to Flagler, and later to Arriba, Colorado, where their children were raised. Barbara was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her children.
She was married to Eddie Weatherspoon in 1980 and they lived in Laramie, Wyoming; and Mountain Grove, Missouri. In 1994, Barbara moved to Junction City, KS, where she resided until her death.
She was a faithful attendee of St. Xavier Catholic Church and could always be counted on to help out with the annual auction and church dinners. She belonged to the Circle 1 of the church. She was a past member of the Eagles Lodge #830 Auxiliary, and a former member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Cecil in 1965; her parents; and her brothers, Fred, Art, and Pete Heinrich. Survivors include: a son, Albert (Cecelia) Williams, Arvada, CO; a daughter, Julia (Tom) Loper, Junction City, KS; 2 granddaughters, Melissa (Chris) Lautenbach, Dallas, TX, and Trish Williams, Arvada, CO; a grandson, Matthew Williams, Arvada, CO; 2 step-granddaughters, Theresa (Russell) Washburn, Taylor, TX, and Tonya Loper, Junction City, KS; 2 step-great grandsons, Jacob and Trevor Loper, Taylor, TX; and a step great granddaughter, Breann Loper, Junction City, KS. Barbara is also survived by brothers Jake and Joe Heinrich; 3 sisters, Martha Bower, Margaret Parker, and Katherine Heitsman, all of California; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Valley View Senior Life for the excellent care they provided Barbara for the 10 months she was a resident there.
