Barbara Diane Longbone, 56, of White City, KS passed away on December 20, 2018. A Private ceremony will be held at a later date.
She was born on July 4, 1962, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Doyle Watson and Lottie Mae Longbone. She grew up in the neighboring area towns of Fletcher and Chickasha. After graduating high school, she traveled to California and ran her own painting business. Later, she moved to Topeka, Kansas and earned her Bachelors degree majoring in communications with a minor in psychology. She moved to Junction City, Kansas and worked for many years as a manager for the Sherwin Williams Store. She ultimately settled in White City, Kansas.
She was very proud of her Native heritage. She was a member of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. While living in Kansas, she would attend cultural events. During a pow-wow, she meet her best friend, Sandra Orr. They were inseparable and had a lasting commitment of 25 years. Together they would make many trips back to Oklahoma and visit the Lawton area.
She will be dearly missed.
Barbara is survived by many loving family and friends.
