Barbara E. Jones
Barbara E. Jones, 91, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Junction City, died Feb. 25, 2014 at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care in Kansas City.
She was born Nov. 6, 1922 at Salina, the daughter of Lee M. & Jessie Dell Yoder Cockrell. She attended school in Salina, and graduated from Salina High School in 1939. She later graduated from Brown-Mackey Business College. She was a homemaker.
Barbara was a member of Highland Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, both of Junction City.
Barbara married Calvin Jones on Feb. 14, 1954 in Junction City. He died June 5, 2007. Survivors include: 3 sons, Jim Baker, Foley, Alabama, Kevin Jones and wife Tracy, Junction City, and Kendall Jones and wife Kelli, Shawnee; 2 daughters, Barbara Jodell Roberts and husband Jeff, Solomon, and Janeen Goble and husband Jeff, Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and 2 grandsons
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, with Pastor Brad Seifert presiding. Burial will be at a later date in Ft. Riley Cemetery at Ft. Riley. A visitation will be 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at the funeral home.
