Barbara G. New, 60, of Junction City, died Mar. 2, 2016 at her home. Barbara was born Aug. 5, 1955 in Nuremberg, Germany, the daughter of Gerald R. & Ria (Schwab) Hendrick. She moved with her family back to the United States at a very young age.
Barbara worked in management at AutoZone in Junction City.
Barbara was very active with the Riley, Geary, and Dickinson County Foster Grandparents, Assn.
Survivors include: 3 sons, Emmitt W. New and his wife Kindell, Junction City, Brandon Hendrick and his wife Kristi, North Pole, Alaska, and Brian New, Junction City; 2 brothers, Terry Hendrick, Ogden, and Gerald Hendrick, Jr., Spicewood, Texas; a sister, Linda Bailey, Jonestown, Texas, and 2 granddaughters. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
It was Barbara's wishes to be cremated.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the Ogden Cemetery, Ogden.
Penwell-Gabel Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
