Avis Marie Barclay

Memorial services for Avis Marie Barclay, 85, of Milford, KS will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. A private family burial took place at Milford Cemetery. Mrs. Barclay passed away at Geary Community Hospital on April 26, 2010.

Mrs. Barclay was born September 22, 1924, Port Arthur, TX to Elmer P. and Annie R. (England) Webb. She married Vernon W. White and he preceded her in death and later she married James B. Barclay he also preceded her in death. She worked as a secretary for a refinery in Texas and had also lived in San Diego, CA before moving to Kansas to be closer to her family.

She is survived by her daughters; Lindy McCollum and her husband Michael of Longview, WA and Randy R. Landry of Milford, KS, one son; Henry P. White and wife Evelyn of Houston, TX, five grandchildren; Keaton Landry, II, Mallory Porter, Lani Almaguer, Logan Landry and Hunter McCollum and seven great-grandchildren; Mirina Landry, Mikayla Landry, Marissa Landry, Kenzie Landry, Chloe Porter and Ellyott Porter and Korin Porter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Kenneth P. Webb and one sister; Maxine (Webb) Miles.
