A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, at the Junction City Nazarene Church 1315 W. Ash Street for Aurie W. Field, 62, Junction City. Reverend Jim Bond will officiate. A visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street. Mrs. Field passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, at her home in Junction City. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at the Balch Cemetery near Formoso, Kansas in rural Jewell County. Reverend Gene Little will officiate. Aurie was born June 14, 1945, in Meridian, Mississippi, the daughter of John D. and Karen E. (Haag) Edwards. She has lived in Junction City for nearly 40 years.
Aurie worked for First National Bank in Junction City for many years retiring in March of 2007 due to health reasons.
She married Stephen B. Field April 12, 1986, in Junction City. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Carl McNamara, Parker, Colorado; Patrick McNamara, Pampano Beach, Florida and Dana Field, Silver Lake, Kansas; two brothers, John Edwards, Statesville, North Carolina and James Edwards, Virginia Beach, Virginia; two sisters, Mamye Hacker, Amarillo, Texas; Mary Jerue, Citrus Heights, California. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
