Arlene J Winter

Funeral Services will be 10a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2006, at the Church of the Nazarene in Junction City for Arlene J. Winter who passed away Monday, November 27, 2006, at the Golden Living Center in Wakefield, Kansas. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, Overland Park Office, 10580 Barkley, Suite 400, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.

Mrs. Winter was born December 29, 1934, in Junction City, Kansas the daughter of Harry and Viola (Hartman) Smith. She has lived in Junction City her entire life. She worked for U.S.D # 475 for many years as a cook. After her retirement she served as a Foster Grandparent at Westwood Elementary. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where she served as a greeter.

She married Michael J. Dellefate, Sr. on April 3,1960. He passed away August 15, 1982. She married Robert G. Winter May 28, 1983. He passed away August 31, 1987.

Survivors include one son Michael J. Dellefate, III of Omaha, Nebraska and one daughter Michele Rumbaugh of Junction City, Kansas. She is also survived by one brother Lester Raymond Smith of Junction City, Kansas and two sisters, Charlotte Vance of Junction City, Kansas and Ida Thomas of Manhattan, Kansas. She is survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Fred Smith and Pete Smith and one sister Beverly Rarrick.
