Private Graveside services will be held Friday, February 7, 2003 for Arlene D. Bennett, 72,of Junction City, KS. Arlene died February 4, 2003 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Fort Riley Cemetery, Fort Riley, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to KSU Cancer Research Foundation Center, 2323 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan,KS 66502 and/or American Diabetes Association Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720. Arlene was born July 5, 1930, Wabaunsee County,KS to Stephen Douglas and Esther Clara (Settgast)Elmore,she was a graduate of Junction City High School, class of 1948. Arlene married John H. Bennett, January 25, 1950 at Lancaster,
Pennsylvania, he preceded her in death February 17, 1982. Arlene was a homemaker, she had lived most of her life in Junction City, KS. She moved with her husband to various duty stations from 1959-1970,she was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed painting wood crafts and gardening. Survivors include Three daughters; Marla J. Stewart and Susan J. Bond both of Junction City, KS and Catherine L. Wietman of Milford, KS, Four Sons; Donald R. Bennett of Redding, CA,Randall L. Bennett of Phoenix, AZ, Stephen W. Bennett of Junction City, KS and John R.Bennett of Overland Park, KS, Four brothers; Harvey C. Elmore of Portland, OR,DeWane L. "Bud" Elmore of Zephyrhills, FL, Jack S. Elmore of Salina, KS and Allen D.Elmore of Junction City, KS, Two Sisters; Shirley A. Burk and Donna J.
