Anthony G. "Tony" Nardella, 71, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home. A private family service will take place with a private family burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. A public visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home 203 N. Washington Street Junction City, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to St. Xavier Catholic Church PO Box 399 or to the Junction City Pacesetters.
Tony was born November 8, 1947, in Chicago, IL, the son of Gennaro and Luigina (Radatti) Nardella. Tony came to Junction City, KS in 1957 when his parents opened Jerry's Pizzaria.
Tony was the owner and operator of Nardella Construction Company. He started the company in 1981 and continued to work until his health prevented him from working. Tony loved to work and enjoyed every aspect of his work. Over the years, he acquired many customers. Many of these customers became close friends.
Tony served on the Central National Bank Board of Directors for many years. He was also an avid golfer, bow hunter and a trained scuba diver.
He married Carol Courville August 17, 1968 in Junction City, KS at St. Xavier Catholic Church. Tony and Carol just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year. Carol survives of the home.
Other survivors include one sister, Lucia Coffman of Manhattan, KS; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Graziella Nardella, Anna Maria Schwein, Carmela Conne; one niece, Patricia Woodford.
