Anthony Scott Burgess

October 21, 1962 — May 16, 2020

Anthony S. Burgess, 57, of Junction City, passed away on May 16, 2020 at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A graveside inurnment service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery near Manhattan, KS. He was born on October 21, 1962, at San Luis Obispo, CA, the son of Raymond Lewis and Judith Arlene (Hitchcock) Burgess. Anybody wishing to join Scott on his final ride, must meet at the American Legion at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Junction City Animal Shelter.

Anthony served in the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver for Bayer Construction.

Anthony is survived by his wife "Partner in Crime" Faith Harold of Junction City, KS. Other survivors include four daughters, Tiffany, Jessy, Ashley and Jenny; four grandchildren, Chandler, Leighton, Hattie and Harleigh; one brother, Raymond Burgess and his wife Angie of Junction City, KS; two sisters, Edna Zeisler and her husband Jeff of Bushnell, IL, Kimberly Virag and her husband George of Marietta, IL; one step brother, Ed Burgess and his wife Alice of Canton, IL; three nephews, Matthew, Derrick and George; four nieces, Minnie, Heather, Robyn and Christine; several great nieces and nephews and one special cousin, Dennis Burgess.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Judith; grandparents, Richard and Edna Hitchcock and Cecil and Louise Burgess; one grandchild A'niyah Blakes.
