Annette was born September 27, 1958 in Honolulu Hawaii to Edward and Betty (Nelson) Hakala. Edward was a service member in the United States Army and was stationed in many places, but finally called Junction City home and that is where Annette has called home ever since.
Annette is one of eight children to Edward and Betty, and she was close to all of her siblings. She always loved family gatherings which often included evenings "playing cards", lots of laughter and recalling stories from the past.
One of her most treasured things was being a grandmother to her 2 grandsons; The Joey (as was her nickname for Joey, her 1st grandson), and Jaycer (her nickname for Jayce, her 2nd grandson). Not too many days would pass without her seeing them or taking them to do something. She loved to take them fishing, out to lunch, or to her house just to hang out. She was the best Grams!
Throughout her life she enjoyed many things, but she loved to be outdoors most of all. She was an avid fisher and enjoyed being on or near Milford Lake as much as possible. She also enjoyed bowling, traveling, bird watching, baking, Sudoku, watching the Wheel of Fortune, her guinea pig Peppa, and her church family.
Annette is survived by her mother, Betty Hakala, sisters Beverly (Larry) Hanson, Cindy Ullmer, Cheryl (Jeff) Underhill, and Brenda (Rod) Gfeller; brothers Duane Hakala and Alan (Linda) Hakala; daughter Kim (Joe) Alonzo, son Casey (Gabe) Boyer, grandchildren Joey and Jayce Alonzo; and many nieces and nephews, many of them having children of their own.
She was preceded in death by her father Edward Hakala, brother Steven Hakala, and her husband Greg Krinhop.
