Anneliese Massey, 85, passed away on October 31, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Wakefield, Kansas. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and inurnment will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd, Manhattan, KS with Fr. Al Brungardt officiating.
Anneliese Massey was born on October 15, 1926 to Karl and Anne Schubert in Bodenbach, District of Tetschen, Czechoslovakia. After World War II, she was relocated to Munich, Germany, where she attended school as a young girl. On November 27, 1962, she was married to Donald Massey in Munich, with whom she later immigrated to the United States.
Anneliese worked as a housekeeper at Geary Community Hospital for over 15 years. She loved animals, roses, and all people. Those who knew Anneliese recall her favorite saying as "God Bless You", which she would say daily to everyone that she met.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Donald Massey and close friend Dorine, both of Junction City, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Anne Schubert.
