Anna Marie Day, 67, of Junction City, died on Saturday. June 16, 2012 at the Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 5805 Clarks Creek Rd. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., also at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Christian Schultz officiating. Burial will follow the service in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church. Anna's wishes were that memorial contributions be made to either the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 S. Eisenhower Dr., Junction City, KS 66441 or to the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery Fund, 5805 Clarks Creek Rd, Junction City, KS 66441.
Anna was born on November 3, 1944 to Maj. Nathan and Amelia (Ascher) Belgrade in Junction City, KS. She attended schools in Junction City and spent most of her life there. She worked for many years as a book keeper for various businesses including Woolworth's, Pepsi-Cola, and most recently at the Geary Community Hospital.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid racer for several years. She also enjoyed watching the Drag races, Facebook and puzzles on the computer, collecting pottery, and watching her children and grandchildren in sports. She also dearly loved all of the poodles she has raised over the years.
Anna was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Junction City. She was very sad when her health would not permit her to attend services any longer. She loved singing in the choir and set up the church's website.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Patty Osborn; sons, Steve Day and Ron Day, all of Junction City. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Taryn Day, Allison Day, Alex Day, and Haylee Wilson, who are also from Junction City. And lastly, she is survived by her two adorable poodles, TiTi and Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Amelia Belgrade and her former husband, Charles "Speedy" Day.
Anna was very special to many people and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
