Ann Helt

Funeral services for Ann (Katherine) N. Helt 85, of Junction City will be at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Norm Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Monday June 27 at Penwell Gabel Johnson Chapel 203 N. Washington. Mrs. Helt passed away at Stoneybrook Assisted Living in Manhattan on June 22, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to "Young Love We Care Group" in c/o First United Methodist Church, 804 N. Jefferson St., Junction City, KS 66441.

Ann was born on February 17, 1926 in Detroit Michigan to John P. and Laura (Gridley) Neudorfer. She married Sgt. George M Helt on May 18, 1952.

She was a wife, mother, teacher, and served her community. In recent years she enjoyed her Tuesday lunch and puzzle group. Long time member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by children Laura H. Davey, Ruth E. Helt, Robert Helt all of Junction City and John P. Helt of Taos, NM. Grandchildren Jonnie J. Sisneros (David)of Lawton, OK, Sarah A. Metcalf of Casper, WY, George J. Helt (Elise Romero), Elijah R. Helt, Rhemie E. Gallegos (Thomas) of Taos, NM, and Katherine M. Davey of Junction City. Great grandchildren Rhiannon N. Metcalf, Glorianna G. Metcalf, Nikolas A. Sambrano of Casper, WY, George J. Helt and Thiago D. Helt of Taos NM.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, and son Gary Owen.
