Andrew Arthur Gump,70 , of Junction City, KS, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018. A graveside with military honors will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home 203 N. Washington Street.
Andrew was born September 12, 1948, in Hood River, OR. the son of Calvin and Margret (Zimmerman) Gump.
Andrew served in the United States Army. He later worked at Irwin Army Community Hospital in the Records Department. He was a member US Vietnam Veterans' Association; American Legion and VFW.
On January 17, 1975, he married Sharon Glander. They later divorced.
Andrew is survived by his two loving daughters; Amy Boggess of Lexington, OK and Andrea Alvarez of Junction City, KS; his mother; Margret Gump of Hood River, OR; one sister, Rebecca Gump of Stevenson, WA; four grandchildren, Dianna, Michael, Trent and Trevor.
He was preceded in death by his father Calvin.
