Andrea DeAnn Gunderson, 19, of Junction City, KS passed away on May 28, 2016, due to medical issues related to congenital heart disease. Cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Laurie Barnes officiating. She was born on January 20, 1997, in Topeka, Kansas to Gordon and Rhonda (Mace) Gunderson. Andrea was a graduate of Junction City High School, Class of 2015. She was currently attending Cloud County Community College and was considering attending Kansas State or Washburn Universities in the near future. Andrea loved to write, and was a prolific writer of both her personal journals and many fictional stories, her favorite genre being historical fiction. She also enjoyed plays, musicals and Summer Theater.
One of her greatest loves was her cat, Gilbert, who had been a part of her life since Andrea was 4 years old; most recently she also adored her family's three ten-month-old kittens. Andrea also loved her twin sister, Laura; her parents and her grandmother, Andrea Mace, as well as her extended family, Andrea will be so greatly missed. She is currenty sharing her love of music and her many stories with her grandparents, Ronald Mace, and Walt and Ruth Gunderson.
