Funeral services for Anais Marie Cobb, 49, of Junction City, will be 1 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2008, at the Church of Deliverance, 1526 N. Jefferson St., with Bishop Mary E. Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-12 p.m. at the church. Ms. Cobb passed away January 20, 2008 at her residence. Ms. Cobb was born July 9, 1958 in Cristobal, Canal Zone (Panama). She graduated from the School of Nursing in Wichita, KS and has worked as an LPN at Irwin Army Hospital since 1984. Ms. Cobb was an active member of the Church of Deliverance and a chaplain for the "It's About Me" Breast Cancer Awareness Program.
Survivors include her father, Bobby Gumbs of New York; one son, Jan-Michael Cobb and wife Shalequa of Junction City, KS; two brothers, Michael Cobb and wife Stacy, and Mark Cobb all of Valdosta, GA; one sister, Michelle "Angie" Brown and husband Ronald of St. Charles, MO; one grandson, Jaden Cobb of Junction City, KS; Nephew and nieces, Bryton, Alexis, and Alyssa Cobb; Uncles, Tony Graham of Panama, James Johnson and Stephan Cobb of GA, and Herbert Cobb of New York; one aunt, Lula cobb of GA; cousins, Valerie, Brian, and Melanie all of GA, Serita, Sherri, Stephan, Jr., and Ricky all of CA, and Chauncey of New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses P. Cobb, III and Janet A. (Lewis) Cobb; and one sister, Tonya Cobb.
Pallbearers will be provided by the church.
