Alice E. Swarts

Funeral services for Alice E. Swarts, 60, Junction City, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue with Reverend Dr. Joe Belardo officiating. Alice passed away July 22, 2008 at her home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the chapel. Cremation will follow the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the organization of the donor's choice and sent in care of the funeral home.

Alice was born June 26, 1948 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Howard and Elsie (Sawers) Munter. She resided in Junction City for the last 27 years. Alice had a Master's degree in Geriatric Nursing and had worked at Valley View Senior Life Center in Junction City and Irwin Army Hospital as a Registered Nurse until she retired.

Survivors include three sons: Robert Swarts, Scott Swarts, and Andrew Swarts, all of Junction City, KS; four daughters: Cheryl Redline, Smithville, MO; Katharine Morales, Fort Knox, KY; Sarah Swarts, Junction City, KS and Susan McBride, Colorado Springs, CO; four brothers: Charlie Munter, Ocean Springs, MS; David Munter, Chesapeake, VA; Andrew Munter, Raytown, MO; and Patrick Munter, Pine Island, NY; one sister: Susan Burns, Kansas City, KS and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Elsie Munter.
